There have been many cases of celebrity imposters in the past, and the latest
victim to this cyber crime is Rajkummar Rao. The actor's name has been used to
create a fake account on Facebook, via which the imposter is trying to gather
money from fans and struggling actors. This is not just cyber crime but even a
punishable act under money laundering charges.

Rajkummar wasn't himself aware of this until a friend pointed this out to him.
The actor was swift to check the account and is all set to take the matter to the
Mumbai cyber crime cell on
Monday.
It is reported that the imposter has been sending messages to people on
Facebook and telling them about casting requirements. In the process he is
extracting money out of their pockets to fulfill his personal wishes and
fantasies.
Not just that there have also been reports of obscene messages being
sent out from the account.

Apart from raising a request to block the threat on Facebook, Rao has
also taken to his handle to share a warning message that reads, "Guys,
this is an imposter. I only have one account on FB which is a verified one. Be
aware of such people. Usually actors have verified accounts. Don't trust the
ones who don't."
